IBPS & SBI Exams

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, popularly known as the IBPS is an autonomous body. It conducts recruitment examinations for all Public Sector Banks except the SBI. Over the years, it has also provided services related to assessment and testing for different banks through various bank exams.

SBI Exams are conducted by the State Bank of India to hire eligible candidates for various posts like:

  1. SBI Probationary Officer (PO)

  2. SBI Clerk (Junior Associates)

  3. SBI Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO/ SO)

IBPS & SBI Recruitment

The IBPS Recruitment details contain relevant information related to the IBPS Salary, vacancies, posts, etc.

IBPS recruitment notifications 2023 for the various posts have started to release for the position of Probationary Officers, Clerk and Regional Rural Bank recruitment.

As per the latest information, the Government has also approved the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) for SSC, RRB and IBPS recruitment. Aspirants can know more about the Agency and the test at the linked article.

The State Bank of India conducts recruitment annually, and aspirants are now looking forward to the SBI notification for SO, PO and Clerk for the year 2023. Being the largest public sector bank in India, State Bank of India recruits new resources through the following SBI bank exams every year.

IBPS  & SBI Syllabus

The IBPS Syllabus is not specific for any of the bank exams. The IBPS Syllabus for most of the exams is based on the previous years’ analysis of that exam.

The IBPS PO syllabus for the Prelims exam consists of the following topics:

  • English Language

  • Quantitative Aptitude

  • Reasoning Ability
     

The IBPS PO syllabus for the Mains exam consists of the following topics:

  • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude

  • General/Economy/Banking Awareness

  • English Language

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation

The SBI bank exam syllabus is pretty similar to other bank exams. Irrespective of test type – SBI PO, Clerk or SO, candidates are assessed based on the following sections:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude

  2. Reasoning Ability

  3. English Language

  4. General Awareness

  5. Professional Banking Knowledge
